We took the team to Boulder in Colorado, United States for some pre-season altitude training.
The benefits of altitude training are widely documented, but it's not just for elite athletes - anyone wanting to boost their fitness and become lean and strong will definitely benefit from this type of structured training programme.
There's a couple of places around the world set up to deliver this type of training. We like Boulder because not only are the facilities great, but there's a huge variety of environments in the area so you can really mix up the training experience each day.
