Fitness Food

One of the challenges of adventure travel or sports training is being able to equip yourself with some high protein but healthy snacks to fuel your body and keep you going.

We're excited to read about this new product on the market called Nutripak - read about it here.

We love Melbourne!

Melbourne is a city in Australia that holds a special place in our hearts here at Venture.

It's the starting point for a lot of our expeditions to explore the Shipwreck Coast, the Great Ocean Road, the Otway Ranges, and the Grampians National Park.

It is a fantastic city and definitely worth a few days to discover.  Here's a good guide on some of the key highlights.

Get in touch so we can start planning an Australian adventure for your group.

We love swimming!

We love swimming so it's great to hear about a new app that makes it a bit easier and a bit more fun.

Active in Time and Speedo have joined forces to release Splashpath - an app that helps you find your nearest pool, check opening times, and enables you to set yourself challenges and track your swims.

Fancy some coasteering?

This pic is of Cathedral Cove in New Zealand - looks like a good spot for some coasteering.

Never been coasteering?  It's kind of a cross between rock-pooling and ocean swimming.

You'll probably be wearing a wetsuit, you'll be jumping, swimming, scrambling, maybe some climbing - bottom line is that you'll be getting wet.

It's a great way to experience the dramatic coastlines of some of the world's best destinations.

Fancy giving it a try?  Get in touch and we'll plan your adventure together.

Let's go swimming!

We're getting a lot of interest from swimming clubs, sports teams, and groups of friends - all interested in organising swimming expeditions.

The pic below is Rocky Bay in New Zealand, but there's some fantastic open water swimming opportunities around the world.

We're already looking ahead to the Southern Hemisphere summer where we'll be heading to Australia's 'Shipwreck Coast', plus we're loving Okinawa in Japan, and then there's always swimming with the turtles off the coast of Borneo.

Want to join us?  Get in touch and let's get planning.

We love history!

If I'm honest, 'History' was never one of my strongest subjects at school.

Everything happened so long ago - none of it seemed particularly relevant or exciting.  Maybe I just didn't have particularly inspiring teachers, or more likely I was a poor student.

These days I find history fascinating - and I think it's being able to visit and experience places first hand.

The pic below is of the place in New Zealand where the Treaty of Waitangi was signed in 1840.

If you're not sure why the Treaty of Waitangi was important then you should get in touch - let's go an expedition together and learn some history.

Something different for your wedding?

We're not wedding planners but we are experts in ensuring that groups of people get to unique destinations and have an amazing experience.

The pic below is from Waiheke in New Zealand which is relatively straightforward logistically, but what about Hokkaido? Or Borneo? Or a remote island off Finland?

Get in touch and let's plan it together.

Culture + Adventure

This pic below is from Waitangi in New Zealand - it's one of the traditional boats that were used by the indigenous Maori people.

We love learning about the places we visit - even if we're on a hard core sports camp, a road cycle expedition, or an open water swimming challenge, it's nice to feel that you've met some locals, learnt a bit about the destination and got some stories to tell your friends.

Get in touch and we'll help you plan your group's next adventure.

Want to challenge yourself?

This pic below is of some caving expeditions that happen in New Zealand.

It's one of the few things that freaks me out a bit - probably watching too many gory horror movies as an impressionable teenager.

Whatever challenge you want to set yourself and your group, then get in touch and we'll plan it together.

Maybe let's start with something easier than caving...

Soaking in the sunset

Where's your favourite sunset?  The one in this pic is New Zealand's capital city Auckland.

One of my most amazing sunset experiences recently was in the walled city of Luxembourg - unexpected perhaps, but there you go.  That's what travel is about.

Share your sunset story with us or get in touch so we help you plan your next adventure.

Plan your Southern Hemisphere summer

It's time to think about making some plans to enjoy the Southern Hemisphere summer.

From around November to February it's a great time to head south and discover some amazing destinations.

This image below is the swing bridge on Stewart Island in New Zealand - but if you've got a small group that would be interested in tacking an adventure in the southern hemisphere this summer then get in touch and we'll plan something amazing with you.
